OK, I would have to say, the above explains where I’ve been the last couple of days. We’ve enjoyed a couple of phenomenal Spring weather days and it was just too difficult to stay indoors and work. I’ll share some details.
My friend and I had good intentions Thursday, when we ventured out on our mission to gather information and supplies for the Halloween project. However, we did begin to roam when we hit our destination, historic, downtown St. Charles.
The highlight, lunch at “Miss Aimee B’s Tea Room,” the perfect and picturesque setting to linger over lunch and enjoy a visit with my girlhood friend. Of course, dessert came in second.

A Mother’s Work

…is never done. Our family had a wonderful day together yesterday and great weather, hope you did too.

Our Traditional Easter Up-side-down Cake

However, this morning, where doesn’t my body hurt? Started our day very early cooking and egg fill-ing, cleaned the day before, church, then more cooking, egg hunting, game playing and little tot watching, whew!

“Where did you say that egg was?” “It’s under her other foot,” direct the moms.

But at the end of the day… it was fun and a good time was had by all.

Afternoon Tea

Turning over a new leaf regarding health is ongoing. I’ve been faithfully replacing my afternoon pot of coffee (which I love) in exchange for one or two cups of green tea. Taking a step back from the stress causers of the day to focus on relaxing, has been a good daily routine. The hard part, taking the last sip of the restricted, morning coffee.

Down n’ Dusty

Enjoyed a weekend long sleepover with the grand-kiddos. Walks, scooters, games, snuggling, movies and sidewalk art is how we filled our memory making time together. All were dusted in chalk, sprinkled with sand and covered in kisses, by yesterdays end. How about you, make any memories that you care to share?

Young Christians

Silver Dollar City is a bustling business today and celebrating fifty years of families vacationing there. These photos are representational of what I remember seeing as a kid when my parents took us. Lots of changes since then.

Thousands of youth from across the nation will attend the events at Silver Dollar City which is hosting the annual “Young Christians Weekend” beginning today. Middle daughter and her hubs are two of the chaperons for our church’s youth group this weekend and I’ll be with their tots. Great weather predicted today however, tomorrow they could get a lttle wet.
