July 3, 2010

A milestone today, small one in the over all scheme of things I suppose however, it feels huge to me. The past eight months have been busier than I enjoy my life to be. Time to really slow things down, take stock and adjust my priority check list.

The photo below is from a sleepy, little, old fashioned town square in the middle of Iowa. Although, this building was a bit out of place, the window caught our attention, from the last road trip I took with my friend Annie.

Stage or Test, Trust & Temporary Assignment?

Finished, or nearly finished the masonry portion on our church today. Men donated their time and skills and the women provided delicious dishes and lots of iced water to drink. Blessings and thanks to all.

A fitting day for a major life change, my dad’s birthday –

Crafting Concluded

Crafting this past weekend was a welcome break from the normal deadline driven art schedule however, it will be put on the back burner once again. I wanted to share a couple of my projects as the final post featuring the Mary Engelbreit Home Companion Workshop. Both of these projects were taught by Charlotte Lyons and were created using cardboard and paper. The paper I chose to use is from two of my most recent fabric lines which, could also be substituted to create these fun projects. Still need to embellish, the fun part!

“An Appointed Time” fabric introduces at Spring Quilt Market May 21 – 23 in Minneapolis, Minnesota & delivers in June 2010.

Faces of Fun

Sharing this morning – the new friends and the fun from the workshop weekend.

Mathew & Jennifer Meade conducted two of my classes and they were great!

I attended two of Charlotte Lyons classes also. I really had fun with her projects.

All of the classes were great learning opportunities and offered me some hands on crafting, which I had “far too long” forgotten. Especially the FUN part!
