Turning over a new leaf regarding health is ongoing. I’ve been faithfully replacing my afternoon pot of coffee (which I love)

in exchange for one or two cups of green tea. Taking a step back from the stress causers of the day to focus on relaxing, has been a good daily routine. The hard part, taking the last sip of the restricted, morning coffee.
Check out this contest that Matthew Mead is offering. I have these vintage Easter chick egg cups, lower right corner! Yellow, yellow, Spring-y yellow.

Enjoyed a weekend long sleepover with the grand-kiddos. Walks, scooters, games, snuggling, movies and sidewalk art is how we filled our memory making time together. All were dusted in chalk, sprinkled with sand and covered in kisses, by yesterdays end. How about you, make any memories that you care to share?
Palm Sunday – from the book, “The Art of Prophecy,”
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. -Zechariah 9:9, c487 BC

Silver Dollar City is a bustling business today and celebrating fifty years of families vacationing there. These photos are representational of what I remember seeing as a kid when my parents took us. Lots of changes since then.

Thousands of youth from across the nation will attend the events at Silver Dollar City which is hosting the annual “Young Christians Weekend” beginning today. Middle daughter and her hubs are two of the chaperons for our church’s youth group this weekend and I’ll be with their tots. Great weather predicted today however, tomorrow they could get a lttle wet.
This big old oak was the most interesting looking tree on our heavily wooded property. Full of twists and turns throughout it’s branches and right outside my back door. All the other oaks grew straight up, as you would expect, but this beauty, had loads of character. One could not help but be inspired by it, everyday, never taking for granted it’s grand size and shady splendor.
One day while working outside I began to hear the cracking sound of something very large and very near. Surrounded by gigantic oaks, I started looking up in a “Chicken Little” like manner, somewhat panicked. Searching out the sound as quickly as I could, the crackling noise alarming and then suddenly, ka-BOOM! The enormous top of this tree came crashing down so loudly as if to shake the ground, about fifty feet from where I was standing.
Visually I have grieved it’s absence however, it has provided the studio with comfort and warmth for two winters. I’m burning the last of my favorite oak today on one of our last chilly mornings of the season.
Not too much turning green here yet, nothing except our hard
y crop of moss! This, after twenty years of sincere efforts to grow grass in the woods near our house. Dig that color! In the early morning sunlight it gives the appearance of a luscious, velvety, green coverlet.
All day yesterday, this blue bird ratta-tap-taped on my windows. Also repeatedly tried to fly through the window. He was too quick, though I tried, to capture his numerous attempts.Ā He and the misses are building their nest in the house on our deck. Very entertaining, love to watch. Photos from inside, not great.
