The Dust Settles
After a whirlwind of activity over the last six days, tonight, all is peaceful
. Scaffolds are empty, machinery is still and our new friends (Chilton Baptist Builders) are headed home in the morning. Time to rest.

Wow, under roof at fourth day’s end.
Over halfway there on the shingles.
Windows (many) are in.
Soffit materials (some) were applied.
God’s house was filled for the first service, held last evening.
On the forth day of the church building project, roofing is the focus. This dedicated group of volunteers are facing extreme temperatures in full sun today. Dusk on day three and temperatures still in the high 80’s. Looking like excessive heat will extend for a sixth day in a row, whew! Shingles are planned to begin at dawn. Chilton builders persevere.
Day two, trusses are set, taking shape, feels like home. What joy! Thank you God. And thank you for these men and women who have come and given of themselves, to further lend a hand in building God’s kingdom. Chiltons.
