Quilters In Salt Lake

Last November (9th) I posted Finishing Touches which included a hint about the 2011 Spring fabric line that I had just completed. Well, Spring Quilt Market begins at the end of the week so, I’m letting the beans out of the bag. Terri, your guess was correct, COFFEE it is!  “Daily Grind” is a chocolate-y colored, internationally flavored, polka dotted fun group of fabrics. Hope you like the collection of art  as much as I enjoy a freshly brewed morning cup!

Quilt shop owners stopping by the Quilting Treasures booths, 300 – 307 in Salt Lake City, May 13th through the 15th, 2011 have a special “Daily Grind” surprise gift offer waiting for them. Be sure to stop by.

Available in quilt shops Mid-June.

My cup runneth over.   Psalms. 23:5

Creativity Shelved

Life remains on hold, at least… as I knew it. Creativity is shelved for an undetermined amount of time.

Encouraged this morning by the Word spoken:

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me

To bring good news to the afflicted;

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to captives,

And freedom to prisoners;

To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.

And the day of vengeance of our God;

To comfort all who mourn. Isaiah 61:1-2

Hallelujah, He lives!

Comfort & Joy

The discovery (I made several years ago) that creating art offers comfort during difficult times, has been a great help in my life and adds to God’s already good gift. Currently I’m working to update an old familiar favorite of mine. One guess. It involves animals and yes, they are hungry.

The line began as a design class assignment when I returned to school, long before I began licensing my art. It was meant to be a children’s book however, publication in this venue was never realized. I’ll keep you informed of it’s progress and product release.

Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. James 1:17

One Year Anniversary Winner

Thank you all for participating in my giveaway game. It was a pleasure to hear from each of you and about all of the different ways everyone likes to create. I’ve enjoyed reading about the various mediums, methods and materials that you’ve all shared. I hope you will continue to write me about your creative conquests and discoveries. It sounds like we all enjoy doing so many things and keeping busy fitting them into our lives.

Early this morning I picked a winning name for the giveaway prize. Then, I decided it was so much fun for me, that I needed to pick another name. So, the two winners of the “Get Acquainted Giveaway” goes to Liz and Susan! Yeah! Keep living creatively!

Please excuse me, I will be taking a bit of a blog break while I visit with family.
